I found this interview fascinating, not only because it is not what I expected from Russell Brand. The difference between heroes and celebrities is the first hurdle I jump when speaking to students. I wish I could communicate it as well as this guy.

Matt, I’m not a huge admirer of Russel Brand (though he’s made me laugh so hard I’ve choked)…I was presently surprised by his intelligence. Well, that and being able to say so much with a single breath!
It was impressive to hear his clear distinction between intent and accident.

I’ve always liked Russel Brand (Well, the work of his that I have seen) mostly because of his intelligence and elequence. I can’t watch this video from where I am, but rest assured, I will be watching as soon as I can.
I have to say I am not always a fan of his movies, I have had a bust out loud laugh when I have watched him interviewed on late night talk shows, he is very funny while in order to be that funny, intelligence lies below. He is has further risen in my regards, he is very bright and very rooted in his feelings when often people of his generation are not so grounded in concepts. Try to interview one of his peers and hear such well rounded thoughts, dialog or debate. He is a rather stunning individual or rather celebrity. I was hooked.
